Jakarta, March 8, 2024 – The year 2023 brought a breath of fresh air to the tourism sector. This also positively impacted Panorama as one of the regional tourism players. Last year, Panorama recorded positive performance up to the third quarter, achieving revenue of IDR 2 trillion, which placed the company on a solid take-off track.
This positive performance was driven by several factors, including high market demand, strengthening of business strategies, innovative business models, development of up-to-date products, and various other business innovations.
“In 2024, Panorama is focused on business normalization, aiming to boost performance to reach or even exceed pre-pandemic levels. One of the steps we are taking is by participating in various tourism exhibitions both domestically and internationally, as well as conducting sales missions to several source markets,” said Budi Tirtawisata, President Director of PT Panorama Sentrawisata Tbk (PANR).
At the beginning of this year, Panorama immediately took part in various tourism exhibitions both at home and abroad, focusing on two main markets: Inbound, which handles international tourists, and Travel & Leisure, which targets the domestic market.
Overseas exhibitions aim to attract international tourists to travel to Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia through B2B exhibitions, such as the Internationale Tourismus Börse Berlin 2024 (ITB Berlin) in Germany, Outbound Travel Mart 2024 (OTM) in India, The International Travel & Hospitality Show 2024 (MITT) in Russia, and ASEAN Tourism Forum 2024 (ATF) in Laos. Panorama also conducted sales visits to various source markets such as Europe and Indo-China.
Domestic exhibitions are aimed at attracting domestic and regional travelers to various global destinations. These B2C exhibitions were held at various convention centers in Jakarta and several shopping malls, in collaboration with banks, airlines, cruises, and national tourism organizations (NTOs).
The company has also prepared special travel packages for the Eid holiday, such as tours to Turkey where travelers can perform Tarawih and Eid prayers at the Hagia Sophia Mosque, European tour packages, and cruise trips where tourists can enjoy sailing experiences departing directly from Jakarta to Malaysia and Singapore.
