Panorama Launches “Panorama Green Initiatives” to Reduce Carbon Emissions in the Tourism Industry

The tourism industry accounts for approximately 8% of global carbon emissions, including emissions from transportation and accommodation services. In response to this, Panorama, a leading travel company in Asia, has announced the launch of “Panorama Green Initiatives”—a sustainability program aimed at reducing carbon emissions and environmental impact in the tourism sector.

With growing awareness of the climate crisis, Panorama is committed to taking proactive steps by implementing a series of concrete actions to reduce its carbon footprint. The key components of the Panorama Green Initiatives include:

  1. Net Zero Program
Aimed at achieving net-zero emissions by significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions and offsetting the remainder through initiatives that remove or prevent emissions from entering the atmosphere.

  2. Carbon Accounting
A process of measuring, tracking, and reporting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from individuals, organizations, or specific activities, to better understand and manage their environmental impact.

  3. Carbon Offset
Actions taken to offset carbon emissions through projects that remove CO₂ from the atmosphere or prevent equivalent emissions elsewhere—such as reforestation, forest conservation, or renewable energy investments.

"This sustainable initiative is a major step in Panorama’s journey to become a sustainability leader in the tourism industry," said Mr. Budi Tirtawisata, Group CEO of Panorama Group.
"We understand that our responsibility goes beyond delivering exceptional travel experiences—we must also care for our planet. Through the ‘Panorama Green Initiatives,’ we are fully committed to this mission.”

Panorama invites all customers, business partners, and stakeholders to join in this movement and work together to shape a more sustainable future for tourism.
